# Day Night

> A centred-lockup hero built as a card model of a street on a studio table, with the sky a sheet of heavy paper and the headline cut clean through it. By day a lamp on a brass rail lights the paper from the front, so the letters read as dark cuts with the board's thickness lit on their floors. A real switch on the table sends the sun down the rail; when it sets, a second circuit lights the sheet from behind, the cut letters and pinhole stars glow, the moon rises and the windows light house by house, each with a room behind it. The page's bar, caption and text change with the light and stay at 7:1 or better. It loops day, dusk, night and dawn every 16 seconds.

## What you need

- Node.js 18 or newer. Nothing to install.
- Chrome, Chromium or Edge, for the checks and the recording (set `CHROME_PATH` if it isn't found).
- ffmpeg, for the video (or set `FFMPEG_PATH`).
- Internet access when the page is opened, for three.js and the fonts (pinned with integrity hashes).
- WebGL. Without it the page shows a flat still of the paper and the street and the real headline.

## Install

The first run prints a sign-in link; open it, approve, and run the command again. Pro skills install for accounts that bought them or have Pro.

Where it installs:

- Run by Claude Code: `~/.claude/skills/day-night-hero` only, the one folder Claude Code reads.
- From your own terminal: `~/.agents/skills/day-night-hero`, which Codex, Gemini CLI, Copilot CLI, Cursor and OpenCode read, and also `~/.claude/skills/day-night-hero` when `~/.claude` exists.

Add `--claude` or `--shared` to write only one of those folders, or `--project` to install into the current folder instead. Start a new agent session afterwards so it picks up the skill.
