# Dither Laser

> A website hero drawn as a wall of 1-bit phosphor in a dark room, swept by 4 lasers from the corners. Smoke, beam haze, room light, the afterglow and the headline all pass through one ordered Bayer dither at whole device pixels, and each dot takes a single pure ink; only the white-hot laser cores stay smooth. The beams write on the forward stroke and blank the flyback, so the letters they cross spark, speckle and turn green, then fade back in 2 stages. The laser nearest the pointer aims at it on a spring. A light version runs the same rig on photochromic paper with an editorial grid. The rig comes round every 12 seconds, so the video loops exactly.

## What you need

- Node.js 18 or newer. Nothing to install.
- Chrome, Chromium or Edge, for the checks and the recording (set `CHROME_PATH` if it isn't found).
- ffmpeg, for the video (or set `FFMPEG_PATH`).
- Internet access when the page is opened, for the fonts (pinned with integrity hashes).

## Install

```bash
curl -fsSL https://lookbk.dev/cli.js | node - add dither-laser-hero
```

The first run prints a sign-in link; open it, approve, and run the command again. Pro skills install for accounts that bought them or have Pro.

Where it installs:

- Run by Claude Code: `~/.claude/skills/dither-laser-hero` only, the one folder Claude Code reads.
- From your own terminal: `~/.agents/skills/dither-laser-hero`, which Codex, Gemini CLI, Copilot CLI, Cursor and OpenCode read, and also `~/.claude/skills/dither-laser-hero` when `~/.claude` exists.

Add `--claude` or `--shared` to write only one of those folders, or `--project` to install into the current folder instead. Start a new agent session afterwards so it picks up the skill.
