# Kinetic Type Deck

> A talk made of huge type on flat colour fields, one idea a slide. Between slides the words themselves move: a word on both slides glides to its new place and size, the others roll out of their line, new ones rise in one by one, a big figure counts up and the next colour wipes across. A swap slide keeps its line and changes one word; a list builds item by item. Your agent builds it from your talk notes, checks every slide for fit, glyph collisions and contrast, and exports a PowerPoint file that moves word by word with PowerPoint's own Morph, every text box editable.

## What you need

- Node.js 18 or newer.
- Chrome, Chromium or Edge installed, for the checks, the PDF and the PPTX. Set `CHROME_PATH` if the scripts don't find it.
- For the PPTX only: `npm i pptxgenjs@4.0.1` in the folder you run the export from.
- Internet access when the deck is opened, checked or exported, for the Google Fonts stylesheet.
- The talk itself: what each slide says, in as few words as it can. No pictures needed.

## Install

The first run prints a sign-in link; open it, approve, and run the command again. Pro skills install for accounts that bought them or have Pro.

Where it installs:

- Run by Claude Code: `~/.claude/skills/kinetic-type-deck` only, the one folder Claude Code reads.
- From your own terminal: `~/.agents/skills/kinetic-type-deck`, which Codex, Gemini CLI, Copilot CLI, Cursor and OpenCode read, and also `~/.claude/skills/kinetic-type-deck` when `~/.claude` exists.

Add `--claude` or `--shared` to write only one of those folders, or `--project` to install into the current folder instead. Start a new agent session afterwards so it picks up the skill.
