# Word Carousel Hero

> A big headline is the picture: its last word sits on a smooth 3D drum and rolls through a list of 3 to 8 words. Each word tips up and away in perspective while the next rises from below, both smeared by a vertical motion blur, then rolls a little past its place and settles back. Every word has its own colour, which also lights a soft glow around the letters, an underline that slides to the word's width and a wide bloom behind the headline, all blending during the roll. A caret blinks after the word while it rests. Behind it, a faint drum of dots or hairlines turns with the words. The words are real text in the headline, so the page reads with the first word without the script, and the loop closes exactly.

## What you need

- Node.js 18 or newer. Nothing to install.
- Chrome, Chromium or Edge, for the checks and the recording (the scripts find it; set `CHROME_PATH` if they don't).
- ffmpeg, for the video (`brew install ffmpeg`, `winget install ffmpeg`, `apt install ffmpeg`; or set `FFMPEG_PATH`).
- At runtime, nothing but CSS 3D transforms and a 2D canvas. Fonts load from jsDelivr (the pinned list) or Google Fonts; without the network the page uses system fonts.

## Install

The first run prints a sign-in link; open it, approve, and run the command again. Pro skills install for accounts that bought them or have Pro.

Where it installs:

- Run by Claude Code: `~/.claude/skills/word-carousel-hero` only, the one folder Claude Code reads.
- From your own terminal: `~/.agents/skills/word-carousel-hero`, which Codex, Gemini CLI, Copilot CLI, Cursor and OpenCode read, and also `~/.claude/skills/word-carousel-hero` when `~/.claude` exists.

Add `--claude` or `--shared` to write only one of those folders, or `--project` to install into the current folder instead. Start a new agent session afterwards so it picks up the skill.
