Plant-dyed in small vats

Three plants,
every colour.

We dye wool, linen and silk with woad, weld and madder grown on our own two acres. Indigo over weld gives the green of a hedgerow; nothing comes from a tin.

Each batch is about 40 skeins. No two dye lots match.
