12-second example rendered by this skill from examples/parcelwise · 1280×720
What you get
- A self-contained index.html hero and an embed.html to paste into an existing site
- Your city plan, building, street, window and car colors, fonts, logo, headline, buttons and a corner parcel line
- 27 documented effect settings: seed, loop length, blocks, height, parks, traffic, size, the featured tower, sun angle, shadows, dusk, lit windows, survey grid, thirteen colors, caption
- Dark night or light daytime grounds, left, right or centered layouts, with the city above the copy on phones
- An SVG still drawn from the same city plan, for no WebGL or reduced motion
- Contrast and layout checks at 390, 768, 1024 and 1440 px
- A frame-perfect MP4 that loops seamlessly (1080p by default, portrait sizes too) and a poster
- Open-source licenses for every part it builds on
Good fit
- Proptech, zoning and real estate teams can show a proposed tower filling in floor by floor on one parcel in their accent color.
- Urban design studios and architects can pick a pale white-model look on warm paper instead of a dark night city.
- Mapping, mobility and smart-city products can use cars, street lamps and lit windows as atmosphere, since the city is generated and not a real place.
Not for
- Mapping a real city or address: the plan is generated from a seed
- Photorealistic architecture: the buildings are clean, simplified blocks
- Full landing pages below the hero (see the Landing Pages series)
About this skill
A small city on a survey grid, in isometric view beside your headline. When the page opens the blocks rise out of the plan from the middle outward, the sun sets and long shadows sweep across the streets, windows light up floor by floor (warm homes, cool offices, shop fronts), street lamps come on and cars run every street with their headlights and tail lights. On one parcel a proposed tower in your accent color fills in floor by floor each loop, with a ring pulsing round its lot. Your agent sets the city plan, the colors, fonts, logo, headline and buttons, checks contrast at four widths and records a seamless 1080p loop.
Example request
Build an Isometric City hero for Parcelwise, a zoning and site-modelling platform: midnight navy, mint accent, the proposed tower on lot 14-B, headline 'See the block before it's built.', and record a 12-second loop.
How it works
Your agent
- 1
Collect the brand
Every claim, price, date and spec in the copy must come from the person.
- 2
Write hero.json
Copy the closer example and replace everything:
examples/parcelwise/hero.json(a zoning and massing platform, a night city on deep navy, mint proposed tower, copy on the left, a parcel line in the corner) orexamples/borough-fold/hero.json(an urban design studio, a white architect's model on warm paper, coral tower, copy on the right). - 3
Build
It lists every problem in
hero.jsonat once (missing fields, text over its limit, a setting out of range, colours that don't contrast, faces or windows too close in colour to read) and writes nothing until they're fixed. - 4
Check
It loads the page at 390, 768, 1024 and 1440 px and must say
okat each: nothing wider than the screen or cut off, readable contrast for every line of text (the build has already checked the text against every colour the effect can put behind it), names on every link and button, one h1. - 5
Look at it
They save
out/still-1440x900.pngandout/still-390x844.png, the live hero at 8 seconds. - 6
Record the video
It steps the hero through 8 seconds at 30 fps at 1920×1080, drawing each frame at exactly its time, and writes
out/preview.mp4(H.264, for X, LinkedIn, Product Hunt or a README) andout/poster.png(the frame at 8 s). - 7
Put it live
As a page: upload
out/index.htmlandout/assets/to any static host (Cloudflare Pages, Netlify, Vercel, GitHub Pages, S3).

What you need
- Node.js 18 or newer. Nothing to install.
- Chrome, Chromium or Edge, for the checks and the recording (the scripts find it; set
CHROME_PATHif they don't). - ffmpeg, for the video (
brew install ffmpeg, winget install ffmpeg, apt install ffmpeg; or setFFMPEG_PATH). - At runtime, nothing but WebGL: the shader is inlined in the page. Fonts load from jsDelivr (the pinned list) or Google Fonts; without the network the page uses system fonts. Without WebGL visitors see the still.

Can it show a real city or our actual site?
No. The plan is generated from a seed from 1 to 9999 (default 12), so it is not a map of any real city or address. The same seed always gives the same city, so you can try seeds until you find a skyline you like.
How tall and how busy can the city get?
You set 4 to 8 blocks per side, a height from 0.2 (a low town) to 1 (a skyline of 40-storey towers), parks on up to 0.5 of the blocks and traffic from 0 to 4 cars per lane. One loop runs 8 to 16 seconds.
What do phones and reduced-motion visitors see?
On a phone the city comes first, then the words, and the navigation pill is hidden. Visitors who ask for reduced motion get one still frame of the live hero at 8 seconds, and browsers without WebGL get an SVG still drawn from the same city plan.
Which agents is Isometric City Hero written for?
Any agent that reads SKILL.md folders, including Claude Code, Codex, Cursor, GitHub Copilot, Gemini CLI and OpenCode.
Do I own what I make with it?
Yes. Everything your agent makes with this skill is yours, including for client and commercial work.
