Make a blog cover image with an AI agent

A header image for each post: one drawn visual metaphor for the article’s main idea, or a typographic cover with your headline set as real text. Your agent reads the draft and renders the sizes you need.

Article Hero Illustration

Illustration · SVG + PNG · 1600 × 900 and 1200 × 630, plus a title card

One visual metaphor for your article's main idea, drawn as a flat riso-print illustration: ink outlines, off-register colour, halftone shading and fine grain. Your agent reads the draft, picks the metaphor from 56 drawn motifs and nine layouts (pair, journey, stack, balance, orbit and more), and renders SVG and PNG at 16:9 and Open Graph sizes, with alt text and an optional title card.

You bring

How it works

How to make a blog cover with a skill

  1. Step 1

    Install a cover skill

Copy the install prompt from a skill page and paste it into your agent. The first time, your agent opens a browser tab so you can approve it.

    curl -fsSL https://lookbk.dev/cli.js | node - add editorial-og-card
  2. Step 2

    Give it the draft

Your agent reads your draft and suggests visual metaphors for its main idea. Choose the one that says what the article argues.

Make Editorial OG cards for every post in /content/blog and save them next to each post.
  3. Step 3

    Render the sizes, then publish

It writes SVG and PNG at 1600×900 and 1200×630, with alt text for each image, and checks contrast and size first.

    PNG · 1200 × 630

What these skills don’t do

  • Draw a specific product, person, place or scene. It draws one idea as a visual metaphor.
  • Make photographic or painterly covers, or a new art style for every article. Every cover shares one flat riso-print look.
  • Make tall or square covers. The compositions are made for wide frames.
How do I make a blog cover image with an AI agent?

Install Article Hero Illustration and give your agent the draft. It suggests a visual metaphor for the main idea, you pick one, and it renders the cover as SVG and PNG. For a headline card instead, use Editorial OG Card.

What sizes do the covers come in?

Article Hero Illustration writes 1600×900 and 1200×630, and any other wide size you ask for. Editorial OG Card writes 1200×630.

Can I make a cover without AI image generation?

Yes. Article Hero Illustration draws its covers by script from a library of motifs, with no image model, stock photos or API keys. Editorial OG Card sets the headline as real text.

Will my covers match each other?

Yes. Every cover from Article Hero Illustration shares one riso-print style, and you can choose one of six palettes or use your brand colours.

Which agents can run them?

Any agent that reads SKILL.md folders, including Claude Code, Codex, Cursor, GitHub Copilot, Gemini CLI and OpenCode.

Can I try one for free?

Yes. 1 of the 2 blog cover skills is free: Editorial OG Card. A free account is all it takes to install one. No card needed.

What does it cost?

Free skills cost nothing. A single Pro skill is $6.90, yours to keep with a year of updates. Pro is $69 a year or $19 a month for every Pro skill, and Founding Lifetime is $99 once for the first 100 members. If a skill doesn’t work with your agent, email support@lookbk.dev within 7 days of buying and we fix it or refund you.

Can I use what I make commercially?

Yes. Anything your agent makes with a Lookbook skill is yours, including for client and commercial work. You can’t resell or republish the skill packages themselves.
