5-second example rendered by this skill from examples/spinwell · 1280×720

What you get

  • A one-page hero and a paste-in embed with your name, words, numbers and links
  • The jukebox cut out of every frame and drawn over the giant chrome headline
  • Chrome lines that shrink to fit when the words are wide, so they never leave the frame
  • A title strips card for two A-side, artist, B-side entries (records, a menu, a line-up)
  • The intro animation tied to the film's own clock, so words and picture stay in step
  • A phone layout: the headline stays in the frame, the introduction and buttons move into a block underneath
  • Stills of the last frame for reduced motion, no WebGL, blocked autoplay or a slow connection, so it is never blank
  • A 1080p MP4 with the film's sound and a poster, rendered frame by frame
  • Checks at 390, 768, 1280 and 1920 px for overflow, overlaps, links and script errors
  • Open-source licenses for every part it builds on

Good fit

  • Record shops, record clubs, listening bars, venues and music apps can open on a slow push-in through a basement full of vinyl to a glowing chrome jukebox.
  • Anyone who wants words behind a moving subject gets giant chrome letters, the jukebox cut out of every frame so the headline's end slides behind its glass on the push-in.
  • Brands with something to list (this month's records, a menu, a line-up) can put two on jukebox title strips, beside a stat counting up from zero during the film.

Not for

  • Swapping in your own video: the matte is made for this film, and the scene (a jukebox in a 1970s record den) is the design
  • Changing the colors, fonts or layout through settings (every word, number and link is yours; the look is fixed)
  • Long headlines: the chrome lines take five characters each, and the end of the second line goes behind the jukebox
  • Sound on the live page (browsers only autoplay muted video; the MP4 keeps the sound)
  • Full landing pages below the hero (see the Landing Pages series)

About this skill

A website hero on five seconds of generated footage: the camera pushes slowly into a 1970s basement record den, past crates of vinyl, velvet armchairs, string lights and sunbeams, until a glowing chrome jukebox fills the right of the frame. Two lines of giant chrome letters sit behind the jukebox, which is cut out of every frame and drawn over them, so the end of the headline slides behind its glass as the camera moves in; an amber script line is written across them and a glint runs over the chrome. Around it: links with jukebox selection keys, a red selector button with a spinning coin, a card of jukebox title strips with a turning record, counting stats and film grain. Your agent writes one hero.json with your words and links; the build checks every length and writes a page and an embed, and a recorder makes a 1080p MP4 with sound.

Example request

Make a Jukebox Den hero for our record shop's mail-order club: script 'Dig for', chrome lines 'Deep' and 'Cuts', this month's three records on the title strips, our links and buttons, and record the video for the launch post.

FAQ

Can I put my own video behind the headline?

No. The matte that cuts the jukebox out was made for this film, so the footage is part of the design. Every word, number and link is yours through hero.json; the footage, colors, fonts and layout stay as they are.

How long can the words be?

Each chrome line takes up to 5 characters, the script line and wordmark up to 10 each. Wide letters make both chrome lines smaller so they stay in frame, and the end of the second line is meant to slide behind the jukebox. The build lists every field that is too long and writes nothing until they are fixed; the check fails if anything spills or overlaps.

What do visitors see if the film cannot play?

The last frame and the jukebox cut out of it, as pictures, with every word in place. That covers reduced motion, no WebGL or GSAP, blocked autoplay, a film that takes more than 8 seconds to start, or a page opened from disk instead of a web server.

Which agents is Jukebox Den Hero written for?

Any agent that reads SKILL.md folders, including Claude Code, Codex, Cursor, GitHub Copilot, Gemini CLI and OpenCode.

Do I own what I make with it?

Yes. Everything your agent makes with this skill is yours, including for client and commercial work.
