How it works
How to make a presentation background
01
Pick a palette
Start from a dark keynote look, a boardroom navy or a light paper, then set any color yourself. Shuffle moves the soft shapes around.
02
Make room for the title
Choose where the title sits, on the left or in the center, and how calm that area is. The sample title on the preview shows whether the words stay readable.
03
Download and set it
Export a PNG at 1920×1080, 4K or 4:3, then set it as the slide background in PowerPoint, Google Slides or Keynote. The FAQ below has the menu for each.
PowerPoint backgrounds in 16:9 and 4:3
A new PowerPoint deck is widescreen, 16:9, at 13.33 × 7.5 inches, and a 1920×1080 image fills it edge to edge. Google Slides and Keynote also start new decks at 16:9. Pick 4K when the deck will play on a large screen or a projector that shows every soft edge.
Older decks and some school and conference templates are 4:3. Use the 4:3 size for those, so the background is not stretched or cropped when you set it.
Light text needs a dark background and dark text a light one. The tool picks the sample title’s color from your base color, so what you see on the preview is close to what the slide will show.
Animated backgrounds for keynote-style decks
A PNG is a still. When you want light that moves behind the slides and transitions between them, Glass Keynote Deck has your agent build the whole deck as a web page: frosted glass panels over a dark ground lit by soft glowing gradients, with animated transitions, big numbers and charts.
It also writes a PDF and a PowerPoint file with editable text and your speaker notes. The motion plays in the browser deck only; the PowerPoint and PDF keep the look as stills.

FAQ
Questions
Still stuck? The guides cover installing, agents and licensing in more detail.
Read the guidesWhat size is a PowerPoint background?
1920×1080 pixels for a widescreen 16:9 deck, which is the PowerPoint default, and 1600×1200 for a 4:3 deck. Use 3840×2160 for a 4K screen.
How do I set a background image in PowerPoint, Google Slides or Keynote?
PowerPoint: Design, then Format Background, then Picture or texture fill, Insert, and Apply to All. Google Slides: Slide, then Change background, then Choose image. Keynote: select the slide, open the Format sidebar, and set Background to Image Fill.
Will my text stay readable?
Keep the calm area on where the title goes and check the sample title on the preview. If the words still fight the colors, raise the calm area or pick a darker or lighter base.
Can I make an animated background for PowerPoint?
PowerPoint can play a video placed behind a slide’s content, but the file gets heavy fast and the motion won’t carry into a PDF. A still PNG is the safer default for a deck you send. For motion on a big screen, present from a browser deck such as Glass Keynote Deck, where the glow moves behind every slide.
Can I use the backgrounds commercially?
Yes. Everything you export is yours, with no credit needed and no watermark. The tool runs in your browser and nothing is uploaded.
