What you get
- A 1080×1920 or 1920×1080 MP4 with an original beat-synced soundtrack and sound effects
- 1 to 4 roles set as letterpress job notices with title, team, location, pay range and three facts
- A camera that whips between notices on the downbeats and reads each one inside the platform-safe band
- Paper slips with a few short lines on what working there is like
- A tear-off apply notice with your address and a real, scannable QR code
- A brief checker that lists every problem at once, and a layout gate that checks text size and safe areas before rendering
- Open-source licenses for every part it builds on
Good fit
- A workshop, studio or small company posting a few open roles on Reels, TikTok or LinkedIn that should look printed, not templated.
- A careers page or job board that wants a short film per opening, with the pay range shown plainly.
- A team that wants a hiring post with its own music and a code people can scan straight off the screen.
Not for
- Footage or photos of your team or office
- Full job ads with long requirement lists
- Talking-head or live-action recruiting videos
- More than 4 open roles in one film
About this skill
A hiring call shot on a real notice board. Each open role is a letterpress job notice, with title, team, location, pay range and three facts, that drops onto cork or felt and is pinned on the beat. A virtual camera whips from notice to notice and reads each one, racking out of focus whatever falls outside the platform-safe band, so every sharp word sits where no app button covers it. Short lines on what working there is like go up as paper slips. The film ends on a tear-off flyer with the apply address, a real scannable QR code and perforated tabs, one of which tears away on the final hit. An original soundtrack with sound effects on every whip, landing, pin and tear is made on your machine.
Example request
Make a we're hiring video for Quillmoor Cycle Works: 3 roles as letterpress notices pinned to a cork board, pay ranges overprinted in red, the apply address and a QR code at the end, 9:16 for Reels.
How it works
Your agent
- 1
Make the project
- 2
Get the roles from the person
Ask for the company, the roles and the apply address.
- 3
Write
brief.jsonEvery problem in the brief is listed at once, and nothing is written until there are none.
- 4
Apply it
It prints the length, the tempo, where the drop and the final hit fall, the QR version and the contrast ratios, and it writes
data.js, the size and length inindex.html,gate.jsonandmusic/. - 5
Look before you render
Open the PNGs.
- 6
Render
This runs the layout gate first, renders with the pinned HyperFrames, checks the soundtrack with
scripts/music/check.mjs(loudness, peaks, the sound effects' timing and levels) and muxes it in.

What you need
- Node.js 22 or newer, and FFmpeg on the PATH.
- Chrome or Chromium. HyperFrames runs through
npx, pinned to the version this template was tested with:npx --yes hyperframes@0.8.192. The first render downloads a headless Chrome. Ifrendersays Chrome is missing, runnpx --yes hyperframes@0.8.192 browser ensureonce. The layout gate (scripts/gate/gate.mjs) uses the same Chrome, or the one atCHROMIUM_PATH. - Network access to
fonts.googleapis.com(Big Shoulders Display, Newsreader, Schibsted Grotesk, IBM Plex Mono) andcdn.jsdelivr.net(GSAP). See Troubleshooting if either is blocked. - Nothing else for the music:
scripts/music/is plain Node.js with no packages, and so is the QR encoder (scripts/qr.mjs).
Last checked Nov 2, 2026: the package’s own build and render commands ran and passed.
If something goes wrong
A field is too long.
Shorten it; the limits are what keeps every word inside the safe band at reading size.
The gate fails with T2 or T1.
Something in the brief needs more room than the notice has; usually a long title word or a long fact. Shorten that field.
Fonts or GSAP blocked.
The template loads them from fonts.googleapis.com and cdn.jsdelivr.net. Download the four font families and
gsap@3.14.2/dist/gsap.min.js, put them inassets/, and point the<link>and<script>inindex.htmlat them.

Write a reviewFAQ
Is the QR code real?
Yes. apply-brief encodes your address as a standard QR code with error correction level M, and the template prints it with clean square modules. Both example renders decode with two independent decoders. Scan your own last frame with a phone before you post.
How long is the video?
It follows the brief: 2 bars for the header, 3 bars per role, 3 for the culture slips and 3 for the apply notice, then a short ring-out. At 120 bpm two roles with slips run 27.4 s; three roles at 116 bpm run 34.6 s.
Will text sit under the TikTok or Reels buttons?
No. In 9:16 every sharp word sits between 14% and 65% of the frame height, at a cap height of at least 3% of the frame. A layout gate checks this on every settled frame before rendering, and the camera racks out of focus whatever falls outside.
Which agents is Hiring Call Reel written for?

Do I own what I make with it?
Yes. Everything your agent makes with this skill is yours, including for client and commercial work.
