What you get

  • A 14 to 18 second MP4 in 9:16 or 1:1 with an original soundtrack
  • A thermal receipt that prints your stats one line per beat
  • The total printed in a second ink exactly on the music's drop
  • A tear on the teeth and a camera pull-back to the receipt on a counter
  • Print-head ticks, cut whooshes, a riser and impact, and a tear whip in sync with the picture
  • A day scene on terrazzo and a night scene on slate under a lamp
  • A brief checker, a layout gate and an audio check that stop a bad render
  • Open-source licenses for every part it builds on

Good fit

  • A shop or cafe posting its year in review as a vertical reel its regulars will recognise.
  • A brand sharing launch-week numbers in a square post that feels made, not templated.
  • A team that wants a stats video with real texture and sound but no footage, stock or licences.

Not for

  • Live dashboards or real-time data
  • Charts, trend lines or count-up numbers
  • Long explainers with voice-over
  • Films built on footage or product photography

About this skill

Receipt Reel tells a year in review or a launch's numbers as a thermal receipt printing. A strip of thermal paper feeds out of a printer one line per beat, and each stat prints as a receipt line padded to 17 columns. The total lands in a second ink on the music's drop, the strip tears on the teeth, and the camera pulls back to the receipt lying on a counter. Every frame is drawn in code: paper tooth, uneven print density, dot rows, curl, serrated ends and a modelled printer, under window light or a single lamp. All type is one monospace face at the printer's own enlarged sizes. It comes in 9:16 and 1:1, with an original beat-synced soundtrack carrying print-head ticks and a tear.

Example request

Make a receipt reel of our year: 48,210 orders, 31 cities, best seller Rye Sourdough, 62% repeat guests, total 212,906 loaves, 9:16, warm daylight counter.

FAQ

How many stats fit on one receipt?

Three to five items plus one total. Each label is up to 17 characters, because the receipt is 17 columns wide, and the total is up to 9 characters so it can print large. An item can carry a second line, like the best seller's name.

Can the total land on a specific moment in the music?

Yes, by design. The brief checker asks the music generator where its drop falls and lays the film out so the total prints exactly on it, then lands the receipt on the final hit. If a seed cannot line up, it says so and you pick another seed.

Which formats and looks does it come in?

Two formats, 9:16 at 1080×1920 and 1:1 at 1080×1080, and two scenes: a pale terrazzo counter under window light, or dark slate under a single lamp with a pen and a spare paper roll. You choose the paper, ink and second-ink colours.

Which agents is Receipt Reel written for?

Any agent that reads SKILL.md folders, including Claude Code, Codex, Cursor, GitHub Copilot, Gemini CLI and OpenCode.

Do I own what I make with it?

Yes. Everything your agent makes with this skill is yours, including for client and commercial work.

What Lookbk adds on top of heygen-com/hyperframes (Apache-2.0): Lookbk wrote this package for the Social Shorts series; it renders with HyperFrames (Apache-2.0), animates with GSAP (Standard License), sets every word in IBM Plex Mono (SIL Open Font License 1.1) and synthesises its soundtrack and effects with Lookbk's own beatgen, so nothing needs a licence.
