Tallyhall's product hero: “Month-end tasks” to “Close March”
This 13-second clip is a product hero for Tallyhall with 4 rows under “Month-end tasks”, 3 choices under “Entities” and a “Close March” button. The Cursor Tour Hero skill rendered it from examples/tallyhall/hero.json in its package. Every field of that file is listed below.
The brand and web addresses in this example are made up. The .example ending is a reserved name that never leads to a real site.
What is on the page
Tallyhall turns month-end close into a checklist, and its page opens on the badge “Month-end close, rebuilt” above the headline “Close the books by Tuesday.” The lede says it turns month-end into a checklist that ticks itself off, with bank feeds, accruals and intercompany in one place, signed by the people who own them. The buttons are “Book a walkthrough” and “See a sample close”, followed by the note “Works with the ledger you already use.” The bar holds Product, Customers, Pricing and Docs, and the button “Start free”.
The product window carries the words “Close” and “March 2026” in its title, with the small tag “FY26”. Its list, “Month-end tasks”, has four rows: “Bank feeds reconciled” (PD, open), “Accruals posted” (LK, open), “Intercompany matched” (PD SA, review) and “Board pack drafted” (MV, draft). The two switches are “Lock the period”, set off, and “Email approvers”, set on.
The control labelled “Entities” has three choices: “UK” (1 entity · GBP), “EU” (3 entities · EUR, GBP) and “All” (7 entities · 4 currencies). The main button reads “Close March”, then “Closing” while it works and “Closed” when it is done, and a finished row reads “signed”. The toast says “March is closed for 7 entities”, with the line “Reports sent to 4 approvers” and a “View” button, and a card titled “Activity” is switched on.
Compared with Ostra
Ostra, the other hero from this skill, is set around a release rather than a month-end close. Tallyhall’s page is dark, with a ground of #0e1311 and an accent of #5ee08f, and its copy is aligned right; Ostra’s is light, with a ground of #ffffff and an accent of #1e4bff, and its copy is aligned left. Tallyhall’s list is “Month-end tasks” and its control has three choices; Ostra’s list is “Pre-flight checklist” and its control has four. Tallyhall’s main button reads “Close March” and Ostra’s reads “Ship v2.4”. The event card is titled “Activity” here and “Event stream” there. Tallyhall holds the finished state for 2.2 and Ostra for 2, and its dot grid is 0.5 against 0.6.
What the settings fix
The window is made from the settings in hero.json. The skill’s SKILL.md says the cursor ticks the rows from top to bottom, turns on the switches that start off, picks the last choice and presses the main button, and that the window is plain HTML and CSS, so changing the rows, labels, button words or toast text in the file changes what the window shows. In this file the last choice is “All” and the toast names 7 entities, the same count as that choice.
