A skill is one folder with a SKILL.md inside. Amp reads the folders below, as its own docs describe them.

A user-level skill beats a project skill with the same name. Source
A running session does not pick up new skill files by itself. Ask Amp to reload. Source
Skills can also be created in Personal Settings > Skills > New Skill, which Amp keeps in a Git repository for you. Source

What are Amp skills?

A skill is a folder with a SKILL.md file: a name, a description and the steps to follow, plus any scripts or templates the job needs. Amp shows the model each skill’s name and description, and loads the rest of SKILL.md only when the skill is invoked.

Lookbk skills are built this way. Each one turns a request such as “make a launch film” or “build a landing page” into steps Amp can follow, and ships the files they need. You put one in ~/.config/agents/skills/ and Amp can use it.

Where does Amp keep its skills?

Amp’s docs name ~/.config/agents/skills/ or ~/.agents/skills/ for every project, and .agents/skills/ inside one project.

How do I add a Lookbk skill to Amp?

Paste the connect prompt into Amp, approve the sign-in once, then ask for a skill by name. Or download the ZIP from the skill’s page and unzip it into ~/.config/agents/skills/.

Does Amp read the same skill folders as other agents?

Amp’s docs list ~/.agents/skills/, which 16 other agents on Lookbk also list: Codex, Cursor, GitHub Copilot, Gemini CLI, OpenCode, OpenClaw and 10 more. A skill there is one copy for all of them.

Can Amp install a skill for me?

Yes. amp skill add <source> installs from a GitHub repo, a Git URL or a local path, and --global installs it for this machine only. You can also just ask Amp to install one.

Have Lookbk’s skills been tested in Amp?

Lookbk has not recorded a run in Amp. The skills follow the open SKILL.md format, which Amp’s docs say it reads. Whether a skill’s own scripts run depends on the tools on your machine, listed on each skill page under What you need.
