- SKILL.md must sit at the root of the ZIP, with no wrapping folder. Claude’s upload wants the opposite, a folder at the top level. Source
- The menu is mid-move: the Skills page folded into Plugins, and Plugins rolls out gradually, so some accounts still see Customize > Skills. Source
- Names are lowercase with hyphens, 1 to 64 characters, and SKILL.md needs a name and a description. Source
