What are OpenHands skills?
A skill is a folder with a SKILL.md file: a name, a description and the steps to follow, plus any scripts or templates the job needs. When a task matches the description, the agent invokes the skill by name and receives the full SKILL.md instructions.
Lookbk skills are built this way. Each one turns a request such as “make a launch film” or “build a landing page” into steps OpenHands can follow, and ships the files they need. You put one in ~/.agents/skills/ and OpenHands can use it.

OpenHands skills vs AGENTS.md
Both shape what OpenHands does. This is how OpenHands’s own docs set them apart.
| Topic | A skill | AGENTS.md |
|---|---|---|
| Role | Focused knowledge needed only for some tasks | Short, repository-wide conventions |
| Lives in | .agents/skills/<name>/SKILL.md or ~/.agents/skills/<name>/SKILL.md | AGENTS.md at the repository root |
Questions about OpenHands skills
Where does OpenHands keep its skills?
OpenHands’s docs name ~/.agents/skills/ for every project, and .agents/skills/ inside one project.
How do I add a Lookbk skill to OpenHands?
Paste the connect prompt into OpenHands, approve the sign-in once, then ask for a skill by name. Or download the ZIP from the skill’s page and unzip it into ~/.agents/skills/.
Does OpenHands read the same skill folders as other agents?
OpenHands’s docs list ~/.agents/skills/, which 16 other agents on Lookbk also list: Codex, Cursor, GitHub Copilot, Gemini CLI, OpenCode, OpenClaw and 10 more. A skill there is one copy for all of them.
How do I add a skill from GitHub in OpenHands?
Type /add-skill with a GitHub URL in the chat. It fetches the skill into .agents/skills. The docs describe no ZIP upload.
Have Lookbk’s skills been tested in OpenHands?
Lookbk has not recorded a run in OpenHands. The skills follow the open SKILL.md format, which OpenHands’s docs say it reads. Whether a skill’s own scripts run depends on the tools on your machine, listed on each skill page under What you need.
The facts about OpenHands come from its own documentation. Read it here.
Skills for every agent you use
The same SKILL.md folder reaches every agent below that reads it. Each page shows where that agent looks.
