Every Lookbk skill is a plain SKILL.md folder, the format CodeBuddy’s docs describe. Lookbk has not recorded a run in CodeBuddy, so check a skill’s own requirements on its page.
How to install a skill in CodeBuddy
Where the skill lives
A skill is one folder with a SKILL.md inside. CodeBuddy reads the folders below, as its own docs describe them.
- Every project
~/.codebuddy/skills/- One project
.codebuddy/skills/
Where the skill lives
- ~/.codebuddy/skills/
- kinetic-title-drop/
- SKILL.md
- scripts/
- template/
- your-project/
- .codebuddy/skills/
- kinetic-title-drop/
- SKILL.md
- scripts/
- template/
Install routes
Pick one. Lookbk has not recorded a run in CodeBuddy, so each route is marked by what CodeBuddy’s docs say it reads.
- Recommended
Download the ZIP
- 1Open a skill’s page and choose Download ZIP.
- 2Unzip it into the folder below.
- 3Ask CodeBuddy to use the skill.
~/.codebuddy/skills/ - Also works
Install in one project
- 1Open the project’s folder in a terminal or file manager.
- 2Unzip the skill into the folder below, inside the project.
- 3Open the project in CodeBuddy.
.codebuddy/skills/ - Not yet
Paste the install prompt
The installer writes ~/.agents/skills/ and ~/.claude/skills. CodeBuddy’s docs list neither as a skills folder, so it would not see the skill.
What are CodeBuddy skills?
A skill is a folder with a SKILL.md file: a name, a description and the steps to follow, plus any scripts or templates the job needs. Skills load in three levels: metadata is always in context, the SKILL.md body loads when the skill is triggered, and bundled files load as needed. (Chinese docs.)
Lookbk skills are built this way. Each one turns a request such as “make a launch film” or “build a landing page” into steps CodeBuddy can follow, and ships the files they need. You put one in ~/.codebuddy/skills/ and CodeBuddy can use it.

Questions about CodeBuddy skills
Where does CodeBuddy keep its skills?
CodeBuddy’s docs name ~/.codebuddy/skills/ for every project, and .codebuddy/skills/ inside one project.
How do I add a Lookbk skill to CodeBuddy?
Download the ZIP from the skill’s page and unzip it into ~/.codebuddy/skills/. The Lookbk installer writes ~/.agents/skills/ and ~/.claude/skills, which CodeBuddy’s docs do not list.
Does CodeBuddy read the same skill folders as other agents?
CodeBuddy reads ~/.codebuddy/skills/. Its docs do not list ~/.agents/skills/, so a skill in that shared folder is not seen.
Are name and description required?
The CLI page says both are optional, with the name falling back to the folder name. The IDE page says both are required. Write both.
Have Lookbk’s skills been tested in CodeBuddy?
Lookbk has not recorded a run in CodeBuddy. The skills follow the open SKILL.md format, which CodeBuddy’s docs say it reads. Whether a skill’s own scripts run depends on the tools on your machine, listed on each skill page under What you need.
The facts about CodeBuddy come from its own documentation. Read it here.
Skills for every agent you use
The same SKILL.md folder reaches every agent below that reads it. Each page shows where that agent looks.
